Greg,

Well then in that case it simply means that tnharleyman did my shopping for me. I don’t drive to Cabela’s so I am more than happy to pay him the money and save me the trouble. If he makes a few bucks off of them that is fine with me.

I Don’t know what Greg’s comment was that was made earlier, but I have nothing to hide. I borrowed some money from a friend and purchased 20 of these rod tubes from Cabelas on sale for $10.00 each when I noticed they were selling for $25 - $65.00 each on Ebay. I am a disabled vet and I took up fly fishing about 4 months ago. Due to my health conditions, I am only to fish for about 2 hours at a time, and I really enjoy tying flies. My fishing equipment consists of an old bamboo hand me down, which is badly warped, and an old Southbend reel that has really old line on it. My tying gear isn’t much to speak of either and it is hard to tie or even hold the hooks properly with the Indian vise that I have, I’m not looking for sympathy or to rip anyone off, I was just hoping to make enough to buy some decent used equipment for a sport that I really love. Thank you and God bless,

Erby

Erby , I sent you a email Sat mourning.

Hi hardhat,
If your name is Dan, I got it and thank you so very much. Happy Holidays,

Erby

Hi all,
I have had some questions about the length of the rod cases. I’m sorry but I should have put that info in the original listing, they are 31" long.

Erby

Hi again all,
I just recieved a message from a fellow disabled vet named Ray. First off let me begin by saying God bless you all and thank you for your service to this great country we live in. I would also like to say that if there are any other disabled vets reading this forum that need tying supplies, I have some extra that I would be happy to share. It may not be much, but every little bit helps and this sport can get quite expensive. I have a couple of extra vises that are Indian made and not the best in the world but they work. I also have enough biots and some other items that I couldn’t use up in a life time. If you need anything at all, feel free to email me and I will be happy to share. Thanks for your time,

Erby

Hi again Chris,
I would be affraid to stretch the length to 32". The ones I have measured all measure about 31 and 1/4 inches at the most. Sorry,

Erby

Chris…I have put extensions on some of mine …not hard to do but you do mess up the looks of the end.

In fact, one could make different length extensions on one of these cases Harley has.

Okay, I just received my Sage rod/reel case. I had ordered it from Cabelas before tnharleyman posted his offer here. I checked after he posted and they were all sold out, so I must have been lucky to get one.

These are nice rod and reel tubes. A 9 foot 4 piece fits. My 9’6" 4 piece fits (barely). They have 4 sleeves inside for the different rod sections. The case has a zippered pocket on one side for an extra leader and tippet or something. The tip end is covered in hard plastic.

They are worth at least 25 bucks, this style usually goes for 35-60 dollars.

How many you got left?

I still have a few left, Thank you

TNharleyman,

My two Sage rod/reel cases arrived today. They look great.

Larry —sagefisher—

I’ll take two if you still have them.

Yes I still have 2

Mine arrived yesterday-- what a good deal!!!
