Has anyone had the chance to use one of these? I am seriously considering getting the combo deal that LL Bean is offering in 6wt.
I looked at both the Fli and the Launch series rods, and cast both in Arpil. Based on that I bought the Launch series 9’ 5wt. 4 pc. rod and have never regretted it at all. The flex of that rod suites my casting stroke better than the Fli, that’s all. I know people who have the Fli and love it ust as much.
These are the idle thoughts that posses a man’s mind when he’s not able to fish.
A link to my original post on the Fli rods is below. I was really impressed with these rods.

Thanks for the info. I have always wanted a Sage rod, and the price is very inticing.
I own a 4 wt and a 6 wt. I like them quite a bit.
I have a 6 weight FLI and am very happy with it.It does seem fasre than my sons DS2 by quite a bit.
I really,really,really like my Fli.

It’s a done deal. Ordered. Pitched a tent in the front yard in waiting for Mr. UPs man. Now if I just can figure out this hobby of fly tying I will feel lucky.
Hope ypu have as much fun with it as I do mine.
I have a 4wt. Fli and love it.
Yep, I thought real about the 4 weight real hard, but figured the 6 wt would be OK for all around use. Let’s see that’ll be 2 each 6 wt and 1 each 9 wt. Maybe I can talk Santa into the 4 wt.
Got my Sage Fli 5wt Monday. Went out and played with it yesterday. I’m in heaven. I know it wasn’t the most expensive, but what a difference. Why did I wait so long. Good fishing folks, I’ll see you at the stream.
