Roscoe Fish-In: Information Requested

Wow! 30 people are on the ‘I’m Going List’.
It will really help to know when people are planning their arrival, departure and where they are staying during the Fish-In. If you know, please post here or email me. For myself, I’ll be arriving Tuesday, leaving Sunday and staying at the Roscoe Campgrounds. Thanks.

Allan

I’m arriving on Thursday the 2nd in the afternoon or evening. I plan on leaving Sunday evening. I’m staying at The Baxter House.

Allan…I think you have my reservations.

“GET THE DRIFT?”

Hi Allan,

I’ll be staying at the Rockland House, Sunday to Sunday. Room 28, my lucky room. If I"m not there I’ll be up on the Willow somewhere, or maybe the Covered Bridge Pool on the Beaverkill. Will be at the Roscoe diner every morning for vittles.

Later, RW

Hi Allan…I’ll be there Wednesday evening thru Sunday staying at the Roscoe CG again…I’ll mail the swap flys to you just in case I don’t make it in time for the swap. Looking forward to it…Jason

Allan

JC & Deanna,
One of these years. Guess I should start playing the Lottery (-:

Appreciate the responses thus far. Keep them coming.

Only 50 days to go.

Allan

Tyeflies,
I live too close, and I am too poor to stay in Roscoe, so I’ll be there on a day to day basis. the only day I know for sure that I will be there is Friday. I’m signed up for the casting class. What other days I can come will depend on what my wife and kids have lined up for me to do.

Bob

There is a fine line between fly fishing, and standing in the water waving a stick.

I will just be heading in for the 4th June.

Fly into Boston on the 2nd and staying in Chatham (Morris Island), Cape Cod.

Plan on driving over to arrive for breakfast on the 4th, fish for the day and then drive back.

Looking forward to meeting some more FAOL’ers and fishing a New York river.

Jamie,

You sure do like to travel. When you coming to the Philly area again? Let me know and maybe we can wet a line.

Tye,

Not sure yet if I can make it, although I sure do want to. Depends on how many elementary school year books I have to do and since school will be out the beginning of June I don’t know my deadlines yet. I will be up there May 6-8 tho, maybe I will run into you then.

Jerry, So much worlds to see, too many waters to fish.

As I was in the neighbourhood, the Roscoe Fish-In looked like a superb opportunity to visit another of the fishing destinations of my dreams; just wish I could spend more time there. I am in Massachusetts again for a few weeks in August/September and was thinking about visiting some Sicilian friend of mine in south Philly. All a little tentative at the moment, but it would be great to visit some of those legendary Pennsylvanian rivers if I get the chance.

Those Fly Reel Dots look sweet on my reels, btw. Getting a few admiring glances on the chalkstreams here in the UK.

Jamie,

Thanks, and it is always nice to hear good things about Dots. The fall is a great time for fishing around here. For a challenge, maybe we could see if we can coax some wild trout into lunch on Valley Creek in Valley Forge National Park.

Hi Allen,

I am planning to be there Sunday to Sunday this year. There will likely be two with me.

See you then,

Lauder

I’m planning on going Monday 30th through Wednesday 1st. If anyone would be willing to let me tag along, I can use a lot of help, I would appreciate it.
Tony

Tony(ajsb),

Where will you be staying?
‘Tagging along’ is the culture of this event. We all learn from each other. Those of us who have some inkling of the area are more than happy to guide (very loosely defined) and offer suggestions. Bear in mind, and speaking solely for myself, I make no guarantees other than beautiful scenery if Mother Nature cooperates.

Looking forward to it and only 41 days to go.

Allan

June 1,2,3.4…butternut campground

tyeflies,
I will be at the Roscoe campsite. Coming in on Sunday night.

Allan I will be there Monday through Sunday staying at the Rockland … so looking forward to this trip .Isn’t it time to go yet ???

Mike

Hey Allan,

I will be there the last four days (Thur - Sun) I live close enough to make the trip daily. I am looking forward to meeting some of the members whose knowledge and love of the sport has been so helpful to this old dog in learning new tricks.

Always lurking,
Gabe
