I had to stay home and wait for the fridge delivery guys today so I’m watching John Wayne and Kathryn Hepburn in Rooster Cogburn. I am very taken with the filming location so I googled the film. I found it was filmed in Bend, Deschutes National Forest, Grants Pass and Rogue River,Oregon. Now, I have been to and through all those places and just didn’t stop to smell the flowers. My hat is off to you FAOLers who live in and fish at those places.
I just wemt on a jet boat tour through the Hellgate Canyon on the Rogue…The boat driver told us about Rooster… I took my drift boat through the same stretch 35 years ago. The Rogue is my home water…
