Road Trip To Smoke Hole Canyon Help!

I’m road tripping to Smoke Hole Canyon on the North Fork of the Potomac River in West Virginia from Kansas City in April to fish with my cousin and friends. My route will be along interstate 64.
I was thinking of driving non stop to the Daniel Boone National Forrest in Kentucky which is a bit over half way. Then camping and fishing before pressing to WV. Does anyone have any other suggestions for camping and fishing along the way or an alternate route that would give me a chance to break the drive up a bit and fish more, it would be greatly appreciated!

I’m going to hide in your suitcase Steve.

Iceman, I can’t help, but I fish the NFork of the South Branch of the Potomac just about 1 mile from the Smoke Hole Caverns. If you go on the WV Anglers site, I’m sure those guys will give you plenty of advice as they are a nice bunch. Just like on this site:D
