RL Winston fire

I love this quote from the Montana Standard story

“I don’t know how Dillon got there so quickly,” he said. “They were there in half an hour.”

I’d bet a few guys at that firehouse in Dillon have Winston rods themselves. Kidding aside, at least no one was hurt.

BTW, beautiful country up there; Twin Bridges would be a nice place to be (my apologies; the little P&S camera I have does not do the Tobacco Roots justice. The drive up 41 from Dillon is stunning)

Here’s the main Winston building (not the one that burned).

Scott

Thanks for the pretty pictures Scott. My apologies to Jayatwork. I didn’t notice he had posted this on another site on FAOL BB yesterday. Jim

The fire is blow number two to Twin Bridges in recent days – Sweetgrass Rods have moved to Butte.

Glenn Brackett, the owner of Sweetgrass (and former Winston employee) offered the use of their old shop in Twin Bridges to Winston; classy move on his part.

Scott

And how! Hadn’t heard that.

What a tragic loss.
You’re right Scott, Mr. Brackett is a classy guy…
