reversing SA 79 LA Disc Drag Reel?

I just received a Scientific Anglers 79 LA Disc Drag reel in the mail from Sierra Outfitters and it came without instructions.

Could anyone advise as to how to reverse the reel direction?

thank you

thank you Tim

Now I am the paranoid type so please bear with me. That is the large gear? Is there a cotter that needs to be removed? Dang it I hate being so whiny but I am the type who wants to know before I go.

Again, thanks for the info.

Tim

I got the reel reversed. Thank you for coming to my rescue. Between your advices and the email from SA I have a reel that retreives on the proper side now

For future reference, anyone who is interested, I have a document from SA detailing reel reversal for all of their reels. Just holler and I’ll email it to you.

Best

Sorry I missed your second post.
The reversal directions were on a flap on the box! No paperwork in there.
I have a 7/9 I’ve used in SW now for 3 years and works and looks great.

I am looking forward to a lot of good fishing with that reel. I bought it, along with an SA eight weight off of Sierra Trading Post. No paperwork or box came with so I was kinda left hanging

The whole thing started when I was out at Texoma trying to cast to stripers from the shore with my Cableas Three Forks rod. Its simply too slow an action to be firing Clousers out to those stripers coming up to shore.

I am good to go!
