Colleagues,
Does anyone have any good stories regarding outings or fish caught using gear won via the FAOL FREE drawing? I won an 8 wt. 4-peice St. Croix rod and went up to Alaska to use it. Pictures will hopefully be forthcoming.
LadyFisher, how do we post pictures on the Bulletin Boards? I want to brag on my trip to Alaska using the rod I won from FAOL.

In September, I won the Sage VT2 flyrod. I chose the 9’ 4pc 6wt & teamed it with a Battenkill barstock reel & RIO Grand wf line. I FORGOT my camera, hoping to cast the new rod a “little” with only about 45 minutes of daylight remaining. As I posted that evening when I got home, my third cast ever with the new Sage resulted in a 7 lb steelhead…first steelhead EVER!! Am I an idiot for not having my camera??..YEP!!
