Recent Current River Mo.?

Has anyone been down to the Current recently?
Im going the first week of April regaurdless but a little heads up of whats going on would be appreciated.
Im taking “every thing” 'cept the sink.
(Thank God for April, the promise of it has been keeping me going lately).
Thanks

I had a good friend just get back and he said he killed on the Drifting Oligochaete Worm that I had tied up for him. I had some amazing success on it last year at Bennett and the White but I would make sure I had some midges in size 14 and 18 in olive and rusty brown as well as crackle backs in every color under the sun.

We always do well chucking huge streamers, conehead zonkers, and such on the Current.

I gotta ask, what in the world is a drifting oligochaete worm? I’m guessing it must be similar to a SanJuan worm maybe? We are planing to go down to Bennett Springs mid April and are always looking for success with something other than glowballs and crackle backs. Thanks in advance!

Put it into the search on this page and it will give you a fly in the “Fly of the Week” archives I found it here and love the pee snot out of it. I am never afraid to tie it on and chuck it a few times. I have to agree with you I too get tired of changing colors of glow balls and furbies every five seconds. I always suggest crackle backs but hate to fish them so I never have any nor do I fish them.

You should find it here: http://www.flyanglersonline.com/flytying/fotw2/122203fotw.html

Yeah 10-4 to what Brad said I just don’t know how to do the cool link thingy as I hate computers. But it works really well and I would at least give it chuck or two.

P.S. make sure you read all the info with it and it will give yo uan idea when to fish what colors in what light conditions, I found this to make the pattern even more productive and useful.
