What do you think is the most beautiful trout?
No fair to answer “the last one I caught” or “the ones that are biting”.
Rainbow .
They’re all beautiful, but the little Apache trout is my fav.
Tight Lines,
Fred
Native Brookie with the beautiful light colored spots and red belly.

I am really staring to think that them there ‘Green’ trout that come out of the WW lakes here in NE are real purty!
Don
Brooktrout in there spwaning colors. None more beautiful. Ron
I agree with Ronmt, the brookie in spawning colors!!!
Bill
aww geeze - I’m with Ron and Bill - brookie in full spawning colors . . . followed closely by a golden brown …
Brookie in spawning colors, closely followed by the rainbow trout that was on the cover of the Sage brochure this year.
The brook trout…no question
RW
“We fish for pleasure; I for mine, you for yours.” -James Leisenring on fishing the wet fly-
Greenback cutthroat or goldens
They’re all gorgeous, but I’ll go with Dollie Varden in full spawn.
Okay, to be serious, I also would have to go with that there Char, the Brook Trout. Whether in spawning colors or not, purty as all get out!
Don
I really like the look of the Golden Trout, just behind that would be the Full spawn mature brown.
Without a doubt in my mind, the Arctic Char in full clown costume (spawning colors). However, every WILD trout that i see is beutiful.
Have fun, Jeff
Tis my time on the water, in the mountains, and in my driftboat where I can see things as they really are.
The most beautiful trout I’ve seen was a MONSTER CUTT in Slough Creek just up from the V.I.P. Pool.
We spotted the fish while peering into a riffle that spilled over into deeper waters. That beautiful fish was about 28" and it was a pleasure to watch it gently lift upwards to a size 18 Tent Wing Caddis as it floated in the seam.
That big ole’ feller winked at us as if to say, FOOLED YA’…not all CUTTS are as easy as you suspect!
BROOKIE…Simply Stunning!!!..Almost as pretty as a Pumpkinseed Sunny…Almost…
“I’ve often wondered why it is that so many anglers spend so much money on,and pay so much attention to.the details on the wrong end of the fly line.If they took as much care in selecting or tying their flies as they did in the selection of the reel and rod,They might be able to gain the real extra edge that makes it possible to fool a fish that has,in fact, seen it all before” A.K.Best
“Wish ya great fishing”
Bill
I must admit that brookies are my first love, but there are some other cool looking ones out there. Not that most of us ever get to see them, but James Prosek’s book “Trout of the World” is full of some pretty interesting ones. Another cool one is the Tiger Trout. Check these pics out:

Reuel,
Naughty, naughty! No fair!
That is pretty much true, though, isn’t it?
Joe
Looks like the Apache or Golden take it
Trout is the question and trout the answer should be
Them Brookies in their spawning colors are a work of art though, glad they weren’t part of the question
…
Best Regards
