Pot Belly Pig??

Hi there,

A friend of mine just came back from Atlantic Salmon fishing in Europe. He had a bunch of tube flies that he had gathered up which were impressive, typically they are not in the arsenal with the group I fish with. He mentioned one in particular called the Pot Belly Pig which he did not have a sample of but he described it as a great tube fly. I did a little searching and found some pictures on the internet but no pattern or material list. Does anyone have any details about this fly? I am going to try tying some tube flies this winter and thought these would be a good place to start.

Thanks,
Dwight

found it at last…

The flies shown are doubles, though the tube is a real beauty.
Tie it like an Ally’s shrimp.

Wow, thanks alot…

The pictures are great, I am definitely going to have to try some of them. I saw some of the tube pot belly pig pictures on e-bay, nicely detailed. I did some other searches but did not come up with much. I am going to have to try them on doubles or long shank singles or plastic tube since I cannot use anything with weight on it where I fish Atlantic salmon.
