Pirate sighting, west coast......

I don’t know if’n this guy came overland or around the horn leaving his tall-ship in the bay and bringing his long-boat up the Sac, over the damn, and up Fall R.
Tried to quizz him a bit, but all we got was a lot of “R” “R”'s, “I” “I”'s, a bloke and a mate here and there, and something about cold wood. Was hard to follow the old boys lingo. Wasn’t sure if it was his rum imbibement or ours.
Gathered he was up there to pillage and plunder, looking to fill his salt barrels with some troutoids to take home to feed his briney bruisers. He claimed them to be the proper size for such.
When querried as to why not just collect them at the local hatchery instead of skewering them with his sword in the local creeks, he mumbled something about his peg getting caught up in the cyclone fence…served him right.
Seems he had enough pea fowl collected, but was soon to be off to reume his endeavers at collecting enough chenniles. He claimed them to be quick, smart, and danged near impossible to skewer without first salting their tails. Heck, I thought he was just working a bad area for’em.
He says he is about ready to embark on his return voyage, but we are going to keep an eye on him. That is for sure. He says it is a bit cold for his liking and he misses his “other” coast mates.
My question…IS he one of yours?
