Anyone tried the Pflueger mid-arbor Trion series reels? Thoughts? Up to demands of bonefishing?
Thanks

where are you going for the bones?

I have a buddy who uses one for Steelhead and likes it. And though it doesnt really matter its a pretty sharp looking reel as well.
I have two of them that I use for salt. I really like them. The drag is smooth and will stop a truck. Plus it is a darn nice looking reel.

Thanks to you all for the advice. Appreciate the help.
The reel is for a friend who’s a novice-moderate flyfisher. He needs an 8 wt but doesn’t have a lot to invest hence the question about the Trion.
We are hoping to go to Belize next winter.

PS Anyone intersted in a good buy on an 11 wt outfit!
