Partridge SLF Twists

I was tying a little on the weekend and at the bottom of the box I found a package of black Partridge SLF twists, very nice dubbing on a wire, could get about two flies per piece. Perfect since I was framing them for a friend for Christmas, nice and consistent. Did a search to try to find more…didn’t really come up with too many google hits. Is this stuff still being produced? Maybe under a different name? I would like to get a little more as it is so easy to work with and consistent textured.

Maybe I should just break down and take some time over Christmas holidays to make a turbo dubbing twister to make my own.

Looks like it’s still made - just a matter of finding someone here that carries them

Look at the last line on the "Where in the world can I find Partridge products?" page on their website for the U.S distributor.

you can achieve the same effect of a dubbing brush by using a simple dubbing loop. just get some slf dubbing, make a loop at the bend of the hook, insert the dubbing and twist. instant dubbing brush

when i do use a dubbing brush, the best come from jan siman in the czech republic
