Pardo Feathers

Can someone recommend a source for Pardo feathers in the US? I understand they are a particular chicken, from Spain, but the feathers have a very unique mottled look.

Paul,

I bought the last they had at my local fly shop, but the owner assures me he can get more.

That would lead me to believe that someplace out there is a catalog that carries them…

Fantastic feathers for tails on dries.

I have Paco’s feathers, they are the best I’ve seen. Whiting Farms grows them also> It’s what they use for their tailing packs. Great stuff , but I would have to give the nod to Paco though.

whatfly, sounds like a bargin to me! After looking at some of the junk I have purchased, this might work out to be a good deal…

Have you seen the price of sili skin? The way I lose streamers, that will be one expensive lure to tie!

I answered a specific question about the availability of Pardo Coq de Leon because it was asked. One can do quite well for a lifetime of tailing material by buying a 4" wide paint brush if economy is the goal.
