Orvis' Fly Fishing Film Festival

I found the afore mentioned film festival on the Orvis blog. The first link below, features a not so young lady turning out some pretty nice looking salmon flies without a vise or bobbin in sight. It’s very humbling to me when I struggle with not so complex fly patterns…

Check this at the 16:50 mark.

I have to try a woolly bugger one of these days.

Edit to add the link. Premature attachulation.

The first film, with the exception of the size of fish, reminded me so much of Dad’s trying to get their kids into a trout at the trout pond at the State Fair. Amazing fish, underwhelming circumstances.

Wow, that woman is amazing.
