Dear friends:
Can you recommend the best online sites to purchase fly tying materials? Who has the best selection? Who always has what you are looking for in stock?
Thanks in advance!

Hook & Hackle, Conranch. Check the Sponsor’s.
Merry Christmas!!
I’ll second that Bob at Hook & Hackle.
look at the column to the left of the screen and click sponsors. Take time to explore all of the materials suppliers. You will be served well by them.
Anyone on the sponsors board here. J.C. and L.F. are sticklers for quality, service and value. A good thing.

Friends:
Thanks for the input. My difficulty is that in Conranch they only sell capes and in H&H they have NO pictures of the materials. Do you all know of a site where the actual items are displayed? I currently use Cabela’s but they usually dont have in stock just what I want.

Migs,
A site which I use all the time is Barlows Tackle Shop at [url=http://www.barlowstackle.com:8d8c9]www.barlowstackle.com[/url:8d8c9]

Migs,
Please don’t let the lack of pictures deter you from shopping at this site’s sponsors. What do you hope to gain by looking at pictures of hackle? After all, it’s not like you’re looking at the actual hackle anyway.
Pictures are merely representations of the colors. The sponsors on this site will “always” send you quality merchandise. If you need to see what light dun looks like, or furnace, or badger, look on the other sites then buy from one of our sponsors.

Well said.
Dear Friends:
As always you all are amazingly helpful. I will certainly visit these sites. I understand what you all mean about “no need for pictures”, but since I am only about a year into fly tying, some of the terms excape me and a picture helps. I found one site had hacke for size 12 flies (preselected), and though a bit more expensive, at one time I found it quite useful. Another reason is that it is cool to browse and see pictures.
Of course now that I have my Marc Petijean tool, the hackle size part is academic! Is there a cooler tool? Where did this guy come from? -Outstanding!!!
Thanks again for all your site links and comments, and JC-of course I will try and help the sponsors first!
