Okuma AF 4/6

I’m going to N. Ga next week with my son to try our hands on some trout. In preperation for the trip we each bought a TFO 6 wt. with an Okuma AF 4/6. I my effort to get the rods and get home I forgot to have mine rigged left handed. Does anyone know if this will be a problem? I was thinking most reel will switch over but I’m not sure.
Thanks,

You can always ask [url=http://www.okumafishing.com/products/reels/airframe/airframe2005.htm:edc39]Okuma[/url:edc39]. The link includes a part list and schematic.

I believe there is a roller bearing in the middle of the spool that you remove and insert the other end. Its less than a 30 second job. Unfortunately my Okuma reels are so consistant that I never take them apart so I only have my memory to go by (and that ain’t much).

My Okuma S4/5 came with a tool and instructions on how to turn the roller bearing around.
When you say left handed do you mean casting or reeling?

I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here!

Cactus AKA “Lucky Dog (Pirate Name)”

I assume it come set up for a right handed fisher. Casting with the right hand and reeling with the left.
