Betty was feeling abused because I didn’t have any downlocking reel seats I was showing off. Then in another thread, she wanted Titanium. So… Here is a little of both.
This first seat is Tulip Wood in Pacific Bay DL5 TiCH hardware.

This one is for a rod I am going to put together for my brother who thinks he might do a little more fishing when he retires. If I ever get his service record, the rod will sport an Army theme with his service ribbons in the thread work in front of the grip. His service was 3 tours in VietNam so this seat is turned from Teak Burl with TiCH BUL5 hardware.

Kevin,
Very, very nice Teak burl! Your brother should love that. I like your idea to match the color pattern of his service ribbon. I have an Orvis 9’3" Advantage plus that I totally re-wrapped. I got a little carried away with the thread, at the hook keeper, and it kind of reminds me of a service medal color scheme! LOL!!!
Best regards, Dave S.
Oh, Kevin! Those are beautiful!! And as much as I love the tulip wood, I REALLY love the teak!!
The titanium mention? It’s just a bit more than skin deep!
I am glad you like them, Betty. I needed to have the DL hardware anyway. I really like the look of that PacBay TiCH, too.
