Off Topic Back Pack for Camera

Hi all,
I recently bought a back pack for my digital SLR and gear from Amazon. I wanted a small pack with plenty of room that wouldn’t break the bank. Well this is what I got:

this has plenty of room for my lenses. camera body, point and shoot camera, filters, cleaners, manuals, cables, flash. I could use it to carry my camera and fly fishing gear should I decide to do so but I have a Downs Chest Box for the fly gear.

Here is a link to the purchase site for that pack:

just thought you all might be interested. Seems to be very well built. Not water proof but I can take care of that. Plenty of padding for human and camera.

I like that.

I need a pack that can carry my AG-DVX100B and enough gear for a two or three day hike. Thinking about modifying my Jansport Versteeg pack into something that will work…

This one might be a bit on the small side for anything other than a day hike but one could make do. I originally considered a military ruck but while they have plenty of room protection for the gear would be sparse at best. I had no trouble carrying my film slr in my ruck while I served but a digital is an all together different story.

Interesting thought about your Versteeg pack too. Which model do you have?

This one:

Jansport Versteeg

That’s a nice bag at a good price. I got the Lowepro Compu Daypack for my wife. It carries the camera, a couple of lenses, a 15" laptop, 2 zippered compartments on top and a zippered compartment on the bottom. I think it ran about $100. It’s also made for carry-on an airplane. Jim
