hook - WFC Model 6 #6
thread - UTC 140 burnt orange
body - deer hair orange
wing - Congo Hair shiner tan
collar - chukar dyed orange (1tbs Rit Sunshine Orange/1 cup water)
head - deer hair

Part 1

Mash barb/start thread at 3/4 mark; wrap to bend and back

Clean, stack a clump of deer hair; tie in by tips, pull hair to the rear, wrap to bend and back

Pull the butt ends forward, tie down

Spiral wrap deer hair to bend and back; trim butts

Part 2

Tie in CH; fold and tie back, trim wing even with bend

Prep chukar feather; tie in by tip, wrap, tie off/trim

Clean, stack, measure ( tips to bend) a clump of deer hair; tie in with 2 soft loops, trim butts even with hook eye

Spin, tie off/trim, SHHAN
