Today we have 4.5’’ of snow, 35 - 50 mph wind 7* - 20* wind chill. A winter wonderland indeed.:(
same up here in Nebraska…not pretty…
It is not warmwater here either.
Rick
yah and a great big 6 F this morning.
I just checked the satellite weather radar map thingy on the Weather.com website.
I didn’t check to verify its accuracy, I just assume it IS accurate. Here’s some interesting things…
- Its February 2nd, 2011. (ok, that isn’t all that interesting, but it sort of ties in with the rest)
- Its RAINING in Alaska.
- Its snow/blizzard that hit us yesterday is still raging across the eastern 1/2 of the US.
- Its snowing in Texas.
- There are even pockets of snow falling in MEXICO!
Hm…snowing in Mexico and Texas…raining in Alaska on February 2nd. Yeah, that’s pretty normal. :confused3:
Wichita, KS: 7 degrees
Anchorage, AK 32 degrees
That just ain’t right…
Olathe, Ks: 5 degrees and I just finishing shovelling 13 inches of snow off mine, then my mother’s driveways. It is pretty out there though, now that the snow has stopped and the sun is out.
Just think all that snow will melt and make spring fishing better by flooding the grass.
Yeah and you guys just couldn’t keep it out there could ya!!! Man we’re so tired of storms up here in the Northeast this year it’s crazy. Seems every other week we get wacked with more snow.
Shoveled three times already and finally called a buddy of mine to come and plow the really heavy stuff. 19" already and it’s started snowing heavy again with sleet mixed in and the wind. expecting another 8-12 inchs if not more. I’ll be happy to share with ya!!!
Everybody be safe.
Hey Steve, I know where there’s an old marina that needs some gills taken out of it if we have a nice wet spring!
True, the New England States have been getting pounded by heavy snows all Winter this year. We’ve been lucky here this year with missing many of the bigger storms.
Also, best wishes to our friends in NE Australia who have been battling major floods this season, and are now getting hit with more rain (up to 28" more expected), 186 mph winds and tidal surges due to Cyclone Yasi making landfall there. Hang in there, everyone!
I would like to thank one of our network weatheridiot’s winter forecast for only 13" of snow all year. He was only wrong by 16" so far this year. How can he still keep his job?
Can I help? Can I help? Put me in coach!
I hope all in KS are ready for more snow- much more! Is there an end to this madness???
The KC area is only going to get @1.5" or so. That will look like a dusting around here.
65 this coming sunday and 70 on monday… I’m going fishing LOL LOL LOL
We’re getting hammered! 17 inches and still coming down
Schools and workplaces all over were already shutting down for tomorrow by 4pm today. It’s been awhile since we’ve had this much all at once!
We really need what you guys are getting. The drought we had late summer was very bad.
Oh no you don’t, I lived in north MS through two 15" snowfalls, which is pretty much the record and a 4" ice storm in the 70’s or early 80’s it might be good for the reservoirs but not the people.
Well come on up and get ya some, we like to share. Take it on home with you.![]()
