I live in NV, and fish Pyramid Lake ( ALOT ). I have been fly fishing for 4 1/2 seasons, and I love it. My questions. I bought a 9 1/2 ft, 9wt rod on consignemnt from a local fly shop. The store owner told me it is a Walt Lopey rod. I tried to research Walt Lopey, and I cant find anything. I love the rod, and would like to contact the builder. Has anybody heard of this person, and do you know how or where to reach him. ( The fly shop sold, and the new owner knows nothing about this person, and does not do the consignment sales anymore. ) Also, does anybody know the a length to weight scale for Lahontan Cutthroat. The local rule seems to be 24" = 5lbs, 30" = 10lbs.
Sorry, don’t know the answer to either of your questions but I would like to welcome you to the group. Let us hear your thoughts, opinions and questions. I’ll try to do better on the questions next time! 8T
You had better learn to be a happy camper. You only get one try at this campground and it’s a real short camping season.

fishon, welcome to FAOL, I would check the spelling of the name. My searches came up with nadda in the usa.

Excus my spelling and gramma, I hooked Mondays and Fridays so I could Hunt or fish.
YOu might also want to ask that question over on the rodbuilding.org board. If he’s still around and building rods, one of those folks may know him and point you in the right direction.
Good luck.

There is a weight guessing formula. Something like length x girth squared divide by 800. Not sure, ours are never big enough to weigh anyweigh.
Welcome.
