new member here!!!!!

wow, am i excited to be here. for all the time ive been on the internet, i have never joined a fly fishing site. looks like i found a great one!
my name is brad, and im from newcastle wyoming right on the edge of the black hills. we have some great trout fishing here, with any luck ill get to go tomorrow.
ill post a pic soon, honesty ive taken lots of hunting pics but really none fishing.
anyway, glad to meet you all!

Hi huntmuleys. Wellcome to FAOL. There is no sense in fishing in the Black hills. Betty Hiner who goes there often has assured us that there are no trout in them thar hills. She just goes to practice her casting on the fishless water without being bothered by those pesky trout. It is a beautiul area and I look foreward to your pictures of the black hills and the imaginary trout.

Welcome from Tennessee! You have found THE BEST web site going for fly fishing, fly tying, rod building or anything else pertaining to fly fishing. The are some great people here and we honestly believe in sharing whatever we can.

Welcome aboard…

even though ive fished for years, im just now trying the fly tying. this site has already helped me there.

Welcome. You picked a great time and a great group…just ask us! LOL

hi brad. good to meet you. huntin muleys was my favorite pass time until i discovered the fishin was too good during the time muley season was in progress and streams much less crowded. dint take me long to switch to fishin.

Welcome aboard huntn. I think you’ll find that you get even more out of FAOL now that others here can get to know you too.

Hey Brad,
Welcome to FAOL. UW alum here and left my heart there and now go back every fall. Been to Newcastle and Lusk a few times a “few” years ago. Looking forward to your fish pics. My signature says it ALL.

… from Western Montana, Brad.

Haven’t been over on your side of the state, but Western Wyoming is a great place to spend some time, with or without a fly rod in hand.

Check out the Fishing Reports Forum, if you haven’t already. And post some reports and pix there to show us some more of what Eastern Wyoming has to offer.

A big welcome from Oregon. Love hunting those big eared deer myself. And elk of course. You have found a great place here at FAOL.

Hello Brad,

Welcome aboard from California. Looking forward to your pics.

Here’s your “official” welcome from management! Glad you found us!

Hey Brad,
Welcome from SE Idaho. Home of big trouts and big muleys. Alas I don’t chase the muleys any more. Too old, fat, and frumpy. Jump in with both feet, and we’ll all hope you don’t land on a slick rock. Fly tying is an addiction.

im liking what ive learned about tying so far. i bought the book by jack dennis when i bought my vice and other tools, but while its great, it obviously set up for somebody who has basic tying knowledge. hence, not me… yet.
going through the lessons on here though, its starting to come together already. i can see some stuff i need to get ie better feathers, but otherwise im off and running.
i should have learned to tie when i started really fly fishing a few years back. i was raised a bait fisherman (all my family knew) and im only one who doenst still do it. now i will really be pumped when i start catching fish on the stuff im tying.
not looking good for fishing today though, the weather isnt getting any better… the wait continues…

Welcome to another Wyomingite!!! We have you in the NE, Branhap in central, Riverton, and me in SW, Rock Springs. Welcome aboard!!!
There are a couple others but I’m noy sure exactly where they are.

Isn’t that all the people there are in Wyoming Byron? Maybe you’ve had a new move-in lately.
