The spill occurred just before work on the XL Keystone Pipeline.

Over 200,000 gallons of oil.

The XL Keystone Pipeline of the Trans-Canada Company, was approved today by the Nebraska Commission. The Commission did specify that Trans-Canada must use their alternate route which doesn’t traverse the Sand Hill area.

Looks like that’s the last piece the Canadian company needed to start construction.
