came across this by accident but i had a sheet of stickyback black foam i bought from walmart on the tying desk… got out a pearlescent sheet & tossed it on the desk, went to git a drink… came back ti tie some scuds & shrimp & noticed that the foam had a greenish sheen to it like some beetles have on the shell so i changed to a dryfly hook… peeled the paper off the foam & stuch the pearlescent to it then cut a strip and tied a beetle… the strip i tied in upside down so when i folded it orer top the thing had a greenish shell… underbody is peacock herl… leggs are micro rubber leggs…
