I sprung a leak in my Hodegman’s last weekend. Somewhere in the crotch region, but I see no holes or physical impairments. Any ideas how to fix/repair them? Don’t really want to buy a new pair…Christmas is coming!!

Hey dmb,
First, ensure that the leak was external
to the waders.
If so, email Hodgemans for advice. [url=http://www.hodgman.com/pages/contact/contactFS.html:b77bc]http://www.hodgman.com/pages/contact/contactFS.html[/url:b77bc]
Warm regards, Jim
I have the same problem with my Orvis waders. Orvis is NOT standing behind thier products any more. But enough of that issue…
Here’s a trick… Take the waders outside and fill them with a garden hose. You will see the leak on the outside. Mark that with a Sharpie and patch it when everything dries.

If Detrol LA or Depends doesn?t cure the crotch region leak check out this:

I had the same problem with a Hodgeman. I tried a thousand things to find the leak. I fixed them with a pair of LL Bean’s Emergers

Don’t do what I did once. In the spirit of “if a little is good then a lot is better” I applied a good dose of shoo goo to the seams in the crutch…it was like wading with a potatoe in the crutch or tubing sitting on a rock…no leaks though…

Understand the problem. Wife and I both went thru 2 pair of Hodgemans in very short order. We fixed that problem with new Sims.
Crackleback
Now you’ve got me waiting for the dam to break in my Hodgemans. Only thing stopping them is that the water isn’t cold enough yet. 8T
You had better learn to be a happy camper. You only get one try at this campground and it’s a real short camping season.
Yo, Bamboozle…THANK YOU!
I’ve been looking for this for awhile now. I recall the post but wasn’t sure it would fly.
All the best.
Jeremy.
Thanks for all the info…I’ll make an attempt Friday since I’ve got fishing to do Saturday and Sunday.

Don’t wade that deep. LOL
A dark room and a flshlight will show the pins holes. Don’t wait till Friday to fix and expext to fish Saturday or you’ll have another crotch problem!!

Wade wet
or take Bamboozle’s link. It works.
Using the link from above, how long does it take for that stuff to dry?
See you in the hills
Recommended drying time is 24 hours, that’s why I said don’t wait till Friday to fix a leak for Saturday otherwise “things” will get stuck to the patch!! ouch!!!
