My new rod came today

I had started some threads about getting a new rod for next season, after doing some searching, I found a rod that fits my criteria. This is what I found:

Orvis Helios 8’6" 5 weight Tip Flex 4 piece rod

The best thing is that found this rod on clearance for $365!! Brand New

I received the rod today from UPS, put a reel on it and casted in the yard for awhile, I really like the lightweight and the overall feel of the rod, can’t wait to try it on the stream next spring. Another great thing is that it didn’t cost me a thing! My mother and mother-in-law and sister-in-law all went in togethor and will be giving it to me for a Christmas gift. I put it back in the case and my wife took it to my mother-in-laws house so I guess I will not be seeing it again until Christmas.

Congratulations! You have plenty of time between now and Christmas to practice that “surprise look” when you open it, again. lol

Dude, you found a Helios rod for $365. Do you realize they cost like $700. I’d like to know where you found it, because I’ll go right know and buy one. Congratulations
