That is a very nice looking fly. Have you extended the body to the head end of the fly, beyond the eye of the hook? From the photo of the finished fly, it is difficult to see what you have done, but it looks good. Could you post a few photos of the process?

Not a very good job as you lose your tying rhythm when you stop to take a pic.
But it might clarify the process?
One note, when forming the body, the thread wraps should not be too tight so as to allow the body to retain air and improve floatation/buoyancy.
This is a size 14. For the body and legs, you only need to stack 12-14 hairs of the deer hair so the legs don’t look too numerous.
