I have GOT to brag about my Maggie!
She is a Muskingum College Junior, majoring in Special Ed. She also works at an Appleby’s Restaurant during breaks. Last night, she called us from work. Seems that one of their favorite regular customers is a real nice handicapped fella who left one of the other gals in tears when she asked his Christmas plans, & he told her “laundry”. That’s when our Maggie called us with a simple question. She called us back in about 5 minutes, all excited about him accepting her invitation to come to our home for Christmas dinner. What a wonderful gift Maggie has given us! An opportunity to share.

Way to go Maggie!!! You and Colleen too, Mike.
This has a special meaning to me. I recently lost one of my uncle’s on my mom’s side of the family. Mike, he was an Army medic in the pacific during W.W.II. In 1953 Uncle John was paralyzed from the waist down in an automobile accident. The doctors gave him a maximum of six years to live. Well, he was in his 80’s when he passed a few months back.
It doesn’t supprise me that the Flanagans would do something great like this. You are the finest of souls. Still, it tugs at my heart strings in a very happy way. Now I have to dry my keyboard and my face.
Thank you Maggie, Mike, Colleen and family. God Bless all of you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Hey there Tuber!
I’ve been in Florida for a coupla and did not see your post earlier. But. I often say, “show me your children and I’ll tell you who YOU are”.
I rest my case.
