MT - So long, and thanks for all the fish

Crossed in at Monida Pass 16 April and out at MM 249 on I-94 30 September. In between, saw lots of neat stuff, caught a few fish and kept my mother-in-law relatively happy. Roughly in chronological order

good gal, Sal

home base for a week of birding

the quarry - wary, secretive, elusive (if not for a decent set of brakes it would have been a speed-bump)

fine dining; really

winter releases it’s grip

then changes it’s mind

tag team

they keep the trout on their toes (or fins as it were)

happy that the skwalas were still around

May 16 - did not expect to find these guys (and gals) making babies in the willows

admittedly not Montana but close enough so as not to matter to me

last night out

See you next April.

Regards,
Scott

Great pictorial. What a gorgeous place.

Excellent photos! Thanks!

Very nice. Thank you.

Nice pics! Looks like you had a great season.

Now I can’t get the opening title from “Hitch-Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” out of my head…

Thanks for the pictorials Scott. Beautiful country. Well done.
Thanks again
Beaver

All I can say is Wow! Beautiful country, thanks for the pictorials.

You left the door open, so I have to ask. Was your mother in law happy because you came or because you are leaving? It looks like a great trip either way.

Definitely happy when WE came. As far as leaving, if the wife had stayed behind, I doubt she’d have been too broken up.

Scott
