A neat alternative when you get tired of tying Lightning Bugs; tailwater fodder in smaller sizes. Original had Flashabou tail/wingcase; can’t find my red so switched to KF.

thread - Danville 6/0 black
rib - small wire silver
tail - Krystal Flash silver
body - tinsel silver
thorax - peacock herl
wingcase - Krystal Flash red
gills(?) - antron white
bead - 1/8" black nickel
Part 1
mash barb, slide bead on hook; jam in place with a few wraps of non-tox
start thread; tie in rib and KF, wrap halfway down the bend
tie in tinsel, wrap to tail and back; tie off/trim
rib body, helicopter end, cover with thread
tie in wingcase
tie in peacock
tie in antron at bead
