A friend of mine is going moose hunting in a week or so. He is willing to bring hair back for me. The question is, what do I ask for?

The straight dark body hair and the light and dark mixed mane are useful.
The mane makes good bodies for mosquito dries. It’s good long length you can experiment with for nymphs and soft hackles.
Both moose body hair and mane is excellent for tailing larger dries and bodies on both wet and dry.
Moose hock makes great tailing for dry flies, body hair as well; I’ve also played around with it for some steelhead skater patterns. I hope Hap sees this thread so he can chime in, too; he knows a thing or two about tying with Bullwinkle.
