Does anyone own or used one of these lines? I’m talking about the freshwater version in the 3-6 weight size. I tried the Cortland 555 clear floater several years ago and wound up with a line that had quite a long memory with coils upon coils that never seemed to straighten out, especially in colder weather. I’m still interested to find if anyone has developed a decent floating line that is clear and as functional as any other floating fly line. The Monic peaked my interest so I thought I’d ask you good folks for a little feedback.

Don’t have any of the lighter weight freshwater lines, but the #7, 9, 11 & 12 for flats fish & tarpon Monic flylines work well in the salt; even if only the 11 is tropical specifically .
I played with the Monic lines a few years ago, they had expressed in interest in being a sponsor…I turned them down. The lines felt ‘sticky’ sort of like bubble gum and really didn’t want to go through the guides very well. I hope they have corrected that, I was really disappointed.
Deanna, thank you for that. I don’t know if that has changed as I haven’t had one in my hands, but that’s good info.
