hook- streamer/nymph style
thread - black
tail - wood duck
ribbing - flat silver tinsel
body - orange floss or uni-stretch
throat - black and white barred wood duck
wing - white milk weed fibers

tying note - i have no idea where to find milk weed bushes in my local area, so i used the next closest thing - white marabou

reference - forgotten flies

Norm,
Just look for Monarch butterflies; it?s what their caterpillars feed on (lol). Pretty fly; the marabou is a nice substitute.

Milkweed is literally a weed; stuff grows everywhere on the roadsides up here.
