Message to Mikey...

Hey Mikey! I got your message when I woke up at 11 p.m. to go to bed. The Dough god is alive and well, and working his butt off, which is why you don’t see me post here much. Quite frankly I’m jealous of those of you with some extra time for tying flies, and …gasp…time for fishing, so I try to not subject myself to the personal trauma of looking at the pictures. Thanks for your concern, and here’s a litle treat for you:

Pizza from my homemade, no-knead pizza dough

a nice loaf of Challah Bread

and just in time for Easter, Hot Cross Buns before icing the cross on them…

and finally, the Dough god icing his buns at a food pantry fundraiser at church last Saturday. We raised $900 for the food pantry, and had 22 students learn to bake bread …

Hope that give you a little Dough god fix until the weather straightens out and we can go fishing again.

Joe

Joey,
Thanks for the post…now for some “semi-extended” good weather & a return trip to “The Factory”…you’re game for that, I take it?
Mikey

Joe,

Good to see a post from you and know you are doing well. I sent a little something your way this morning and would appreciate it if you will let me know that it made the trip.

Stay in touch and come visit soon,

Joe;
My first loaf of No Knead bread!

Dog gone you Jack…Now I am hungry!:smiley:

Joe
I too would have shown you my first loaf of no knead but my son came home and finished it. I’m on my fifth batch and no signs of letting up. Trying some of your Italian next. Try the Negra Modelo next time you have pizza; nice play with the flavors.

Hey Joe, you oughta get somebody to redo that kitchen for you…
<ducking and running>

:wink:

Ed

Jack, I’m damn proud of you. Wish I could have been there to get a slice of it.I’m sure it didn’t last too long.

The kitchen in the picture is the social hall at church. It has two mobile work stations so they an be brought out into the hall for large group activities. Commercial kitchens are not pretty, but they sure are functional.

Back to work. Just stopped home to let the dog out for awhile.

So Joe, you’re telling me that you DON’T have a multi-room kitchen after all? Bummer.
:wink:
