Got out after mid-afternoon for a few hours. Caught an unusual combination of fish… Grass Carp, Freshwater Drum, Channel Catfish, Largemouth Bass, Green Sunfish, Shortnose Gar and Eyetail Bowfin.
This friendly serpent was apparently on a mission of peace and friendship. It made a beeline across the water to my feet. Then a few minutes later I saw it giving a dead carp a big hug, or possibly trying to give it CPR. Just in case it was the latter, I phoned 911. They refused to send help, since neither the snake nor carp had insurance.
