I was wondering if any of you might be able to help me out.
I have a very large, and prestine mallard skin ( complete ), That was skinned, and treated by a taxidermist.
Someone that I know wants to buy it from me, and I have absolutely no idea how much it is worth.
Any ideas / estimates would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
chris from canada
Chris,
You can’t sell wild mallard skins, or anything else for that matter, at least in the US you can’t. It’s a violation of the international migratory bird treaty.

So, if I understand that correctly, you can do what you want with skins related to fly-tying and bedding but not for ornamental use? And you can’t sell mounts… I wonder what the reasoning behind that is… you can skin it out and sell it, but you can’t skin it out, stretch the skin over a body frame and sell it…?? Am I understanding this correctly…
