Cool looking fly.

Outstanding SBS pictures…outstanding! Makes tying that much more inspirational.

Wish I had the want to play with my camera but - I don’t.

Same Lunn of Lunn’s Particular fame?

Beautiful fly and SBS.
Was the collar originally something different, e.g. French partridge?
Thanks,
Ed

Yes it is; William Lunn.

From what I can tell, the fly is usually tied with a brown partridge collar; I’ve got a lot of sharptail and like how it looks so I figured I’d try it here. I’m sure French partridge would look nice, as well.

Scott

Beautifully tied, like always. Thanks for all the time you take to turn out the SBS’s. I wonder if trimming the hackle out of the bottom would let it lay more like a spent bug, with the wings in contact with the film ?
