LF - from her side of the screen

Deanna,

Funny, … it was nice to get a “peek” into you and JC’s side of things.

Then again, … I guess it comes as a bit normal. On one of the UK boards, … a member said it was like a virtual fishing club. Same thing this side of the pond here I guess.

We all know what goes on and how the president of the fishing association here works, … what he does and how much work it is. For you two, … it’s a full time occupation.

As I have done maintenance work on information systems, … I know how much work you do to keep our “club”/family on the rails.

Long winded way to say thanks …

Thanks LF, those of us who live on the fringe of computer compentcy probably have no idea of the amount of effort and attention to detail that is necessary to keep this vehicle between the fence posts as we all careen down the road together. I went back and read your “side of the story” two more times, boy howdy y’all are sure hoeing a lot of grass each week. I thank you very much.

Snow on the roof but with fire still in the hearth

Gotta love a lady that hand codes HTML. The real question that Deanna’s article poses, “does JC actually make decent coffee?” I mean, the man actually nukes the stuff from the night before (heathen).
D and JC, thank you for all your wonderful work. FAOL is as close as one can get to one-stop-shopping in cyberspace. Been around 'puters for quite a while and with all the technology, its the human touch that makes something worth going back to. Your collective gentle hands have taken FAOL away from the concept of a site and made a family of friends. Again, thank you.

LF;
you’ve answered all my unasked questions. I had suspected that there was a lot of work going into FAOL. Many times I asked myself “When do they get to fish?”.
Now I know, seldom!
I see it’s about time for JC to get up and “nuke” his coffee (Ugh!!)
Love you guys!!

I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here!

Cactus AKA “Lucky Dog (Pirate Name)”

I did not realize how much work this whole thing was. I am glad that you wait until JC has had real coffee get into his veins.

Thanks to both of you for the great site.

Rick

Thanks LF,

Enjoyed your article and a little peek
behind the screen. We all knew that FAOL
was the best fly fishing site we knew of,
but now we know why. I guess we suspected
it all along, but you’ve just reinforced it
for us. Anything worth doing, is worth
doing right! Quality shows and when one
puts 110 percent into their efforts, a
quality product is produced. Thanks for
going the extra mile for us.G Warm regards, Jim

P.S. JC, my first cuppa in the a.m. is
nuked too. Tides me over till the new
pot is brewed.G

Thanks for the tour of the desk! Neat glimpse. Thanks for all that you two do for the community!

I too prefer to see flies from back roads benches. I do enjoy good images of the tying. Can’t I have both

Thanks Again LF

Rich

Well LF, God Bless both you and your ever lovin’ spouse! Here I thought it was tough on THIS side of the screen, which is why I, a computer klutz, selected my nom de computer. I’ll keep working at it along with my double haul!

Thanks Lady and JC for all the hard work. You have made a site which many of us come to each day.

Keep up the good work!

Migs

LF and JC, just a quick thank you for your efforts to keep this site going.

I think it is sad that you have to spend so much time fighting porn. The unsolicited email from these people pisses me off. My company and I’m sure most other companies are spending a fortune trying to filter these emails out.

LF and JC; All I can say is Now that You have allowed me to have a peek behind the curtain. I’m Glad to be on this side. I had an inkling as to the amount of work needed, but the TIME factor is a real eye opener.

Thank you both for allowing me to enjoy F.A.O.L. You have my admiration. Jax
