i recently purchased a custom built 7’-6" 3 piece honey colored lamiglas rod that has no decal/stickers or writing on it at all (not a bad thing since i dont like gawdy stuff i see on some rods).
i am wondering what would have been on a factory built rod in the way of decals/stickers?
photos are worth a thousand words so post them if you have them.
i know i can buy fish decals to go on rods or i can add an inlaid feather, but i dont want that.
On the blanks I have bought to build on, some were marked at the end of the butt section that will be covered up by the reel seat, and some not marked at all. I’m finishing up a scrounge rod build on a eGlass blank that was not marked, but came with decals to add at the builders choice.
I’m guessing that maybe on the top of the line name brand blanks they don’t prelabel them so they can can be build and sold as factory built?
