Just Old Flies

After reading the archives of “Just Old Flies” took me back over forty years ago fishing for native brookies, with flies such as the Parmachene Belle, and the Wordens Worry.
Those were great times when a ten inch brookie would put your adrenaline in high gear. I still fish them sometimes in search of trout, and remembrance of past places and times only in the memory of a fly-fisherman.
Fly Anglers Online, thank’s for the memories.

My Kudos!!! go out to Ladyfisher, for the great work on “Just Old Flies.”

Wes.

I’ll add to the kudos for Ladyfisher. She has consistently shown that she has superb taste. (Please don’t let that go to your head, Mr. Castwell…)

I enjoy the “Just Old Flies” and archives also. Deanna does a great job. I like the addition of some of those beautifully dressed old bass flies too. Thanks.

“Flip a fly”

Great article! I have never noticed the old fly archive before and would like to share, with you, that I discovered it to be priceless. It truly is another wonderful resource that aids in preserving the history as it has been passed to us. I tyed up a few of the patterns, for my own display, and plan on tying more; for this I thank you very much for making an invaluable legacy available and for keeping the heritage of them alive…

It’s become one of my favorite features.
