It was a terrific birthday, no question about it. Went camping with the Christian Fly Fishers Forums folk to the New River in NC. The New was blown out, so the “Smallie Time” became family and friends time. A couple of the guys scouted out a small pond nearby so the kids could wet a line.
The fishing?
Me – skunked.
Daughter – 2 gills.
Son – (who had never touched a fly rod before, but was doing wonderfully well with one) 2 gills.
Grandson – 5 (yep, 5) gills and one bass.
