purple Quigley cripple 
… me ?? Couldn’t be, could it ?? I mean, like about 15 years ago I tied a purple haze, not very well, to be sure, didn’t like it and never fished it. Fact is, I have never fished a purple anything and don’t intend to. On the other hand, the Quigley cripple was one of my favorite flies when I was still tying and fishing other folks’ flies, before I started fishing only my own creations, with an exception, of course for the Griffith’s gnat, not in purple, which is probably the most unexplainably successful fly around. Anyway, hope the purple Quigley does well for you.
