Anyone interested in an Indiana Fish In? I don’t know when or where but, I’m sure it would be interesting to meet other Hoosier members.

Bill,
Sounds like a good idea to me. We are close enough to probaly make it depending where its at.
Bill
Sounds interesting Bill
YEP!!
[SIZE=2]You talking this fall, or next year?

Bill,
As you’ve already seen, just because it’s the IN Fish In doesn’t mean that only Hoosiers will show up.
Ed
Fall would be nice cooler and more colorful.
Just to stir the pot - what kind of fishing might be available? Possible headquarters?
I might be in?!?!?!
Just to add a little spice to the pot, Trail Creek and the St Jo in the north have steelhead. Monroe Res., near Bloomington has Wipers. A lot of places have large mouth, smallies, gills, and cats. Eagle Creek, here on the west side of Indianpolis is stocked with Walleye and some Muskies (although I have not caught any…). The Muskies went in last year.
One of the reasons I had for asking the question is where could we meet and when? Any one have suggestions? Some of our state parks have excellent inns and year round camping. Abe Martin Inn at Brown County is not too far from Monroe. Fourwinds is a very nice place on the res. I am told fishing is pretty good early and late in the year beofre the skiers arrive. http://fourwindsresort.com/.
Michigan City is on the shores of Lake Michigan…
I am thinking spring might be as soon as we could get organized.
I would run up from Kansas City to fish in the Spring!
Received some PM feedback. How would mid-May / Memorial Day at Chain O’ Lakes State Park near Ft. Wayne? Bluegill, bass, excellent canoeing. Several lakes connected by creeks.
I would love to come home to Indiana to do some fishing, but alas … it cannot be. I do too much travelling for work and that all starts next month. From a former Hoosier )now a Florida resident) … I hope you all catch tons and have a great time.
Lake Monroe is wonderful … so is Raccoon Lake. Don’t forget to check out the City Water Intake at night. The lights bring in so many Crappie that the water looks like it was sprinkled with pepper.
I can’t do Memorial Day:-? Nor the week before as the Kansas Fish In will be around that time. If any other dates come about I would entertain the fish in!
That’s also around the time of the Trout Fest in Townsend, TN.
Sounds like the last half of May is out. Thanks for the feedback. We’ll reorganize and try again.
Ok, Chain O’ Lakes in June. Any takers?
Bill
Early June will work. The Michigan Fish In Will be held June 23 to June 30, 2013. Just keep this in mind when you pick your dates.
I have a Brother that lives about 10 miles South of the park. I will pick his brain as to the best time to fish there other than spawning season. There is also a ton of other lakes in the area with public access sites.
Maybe Fishbum will chime in here and give us some ideas when/where to fish.
Brad
Early June would work for me
My interest is peaked. Most of IN is within my striking distance. I would of course be in the minority and voting for a fall meet, but oh well. There are quite a few places in IN stocked with trout in the Spring, so I may have to change my vote, although being from the Land Of Muddy Waters, I am not breed specific when it comes to fish… http://www.in.gov/dnr/fishwild/files/fw-2012_Trout_Locations.pdf

I’m with Luke on the Fall Meet. There is so much going on in the spring and early summer and very little in the Fall.
