I'm out of Hospital and Home

I spent 4 or 5 days in hospital then a week or so At my Parents as they have a newer house and it was easier to get around in. Doc said surgery went great but I can’t really tell the difference as I can’t do near the things I could do before surgery. But I’m Home and taking my meds as told to I go see the Doc on the 22 nd of this month so see what he says. I have about a 6 inch scare from my waist up my back they put titanium rods and screws in my back. I keep having a popping noise/feeling in my back and the Doc. says it’s the scare tissue breaking up which is normal but at first it scared me till I called and asked about it. I still have about 4 weeks that I can’t drive anywhere. Well just wanted to let everyone I made it Thur even though I still hurt about the same and cant put my own shoes and socks on due to not being able to lift my legs very far talk to you all later Matt Pierce aka…STONEFLY71

You hang in there! Glad to hear you got through the surgery and are among folks who can help you recover. Day by day, brother.

congrats, and just think of the great posture you now have! Always an up-side…

Good to hear that you are safely thru your surgery. Time slows way down when you are on the mend. Hopefully you will be lots better for it. Hang in there.

 good to hear your kicking, take things slow and easy… i had back surgery two years ago,as soon as the doc gave me the ok to start moving around, i grabbed the rod and hit the river. best therapy around the more i fished the better i felt.
worst part was when the doc gave me the ok to return to work. just as they were doing the fall stocking of my favorite river.

get well soon! Don

 Good to hear you are on the mend. Now comes the rehabilitation. Hang in there and mind what doc says.

Hey Matt,

Glad to hear your surgery went well. Here’s hoping that every day finds you doing just a little better.

So far so good, Matt, and hope it continues and your out and at 'em, like you were brand new!

Dale

 Stonefly71,
Hang in ther Matt. You’ll do fine. Everyone thinks the heart is the center of the universe, until their back goes away on them. I guess sometimes we think the center of the universe is whatever hurts the most. Keep your faith strong.
God Bless,

Hi StoneFly71,

Hope your recovery goes quick and smooth!

I hope you’re through the worst of it. Be sure to tell your doctor that you read from a very unreliable source (me) that fly casting was good therapy  .
