I should have bought a lottery ticket

I caught a wild Coho yesterday, when there are less than 500 of these fish in the system, probably less, and most are hatchery. (Last count was 156 on 10-13). This was around River mile 110. I thought it was a steelhead, as the color was nice and silver. I could not believe my eyes when I landed it. I wonder what were the odds?

Mike Kinney was featured in Trey Combs steelhead book in 1990. He is a great fly tier also. I can point you to some reference books. Nice guy, but gruff (just his style).

My mother was a Donahue. Probably clans (Donahue vs Kinnery) that fought each other in the moors in Ireland over salmon.
