I just tried UV paint! WOW!!!!

I was working on some Pike flies ( half and half’s) I had been using epoxy for heads and always made a mess. So I got one of the Loon Outdoors UV Paint kits with the light. two coats less than 1 minute and it was done in the color I wanted and no mess! You really have to check it out!!! Also try the knot sense for shell backs.

Be carful using the UV Knot Sense. I used to use it on whipped finishes on fly lines and it tended to and peal off.

Yeah, it won’t stick to the slick surfaces of modern flylines. I think that’s what Dick is getting at, it doesn’t work well on your nail knot. It’ll stick to the mono but not the flyline.

Otherwise, great stuff. Especially for Copper Johns and other epoxy flies…

Gee, I know my flies are bad but I haven’t had to use “Ugly Vision” paint on them yet . Might have to use my Ugly Vision glasses on them though so I don’t go blind. Sorry, I couldn’t help but poke some fun every time I see the Ultra Violet abbreviation UV .
