I finally caught my first stripper, oops I mean striper on the fly yesterday after 4 attempts in as many years. Now I know why you are all so damn loony; the euphorbia still hasn’t worn off yet. The striper wasn’t very big but I hooked into a couple blues that pulled my yak around the narrow river. A kayak and a flyrod who knew they could be soo much fun.
Who has time for stress when there are fish to catch.

Mic,
You’re at URI so you should be in Stripper ooops I mean Striper heaven. Lots of good fishing in and around Naragansett or Buzzard’s bay. Now that you know the secret you’ll always feel that pull towards the salt.

narrow river is my all time favorite place to fish - particularly by yak. you can fish many different types of water from brackish to open ocean in a matter of a ten minute paddle… good for you.
