I work for AT&T as a lead for monitoring thousands of machines that make up our website etc.
This has been iPhone release week. So of course NOW would be a good time to update some overdue security stuff. Its all push a button inside the site for admins

tried again today - still good
dead tonight
turns out the update downgraded the database binary (WHY?)
ok thats sorted and things actually look ok
if not I’m thinking dynamite.

It is clear that the computer is an invention of the devil. Instances if taking the lord’s name in vain are increased 1000 fold when a computer is involved in any activity (based on personal experience; no hard data). The link to the old site popped up while I was typing that. Thanks!

You may hate your computer right now, but I sure love what you’ve done with it. I’ve not gotten much done around the house since your computer came into its own. The old pages are so incredible!! Names of the past, ideas, flies, comments … OMG!… it’s wonderful. Thank you, Ron.
